Marina Makaron graduated Drexel University at 20 years old with Magma Cum Laude. Later she went to get her Master's from London School of Economics and Moscow School of Economics. In 2008, she launched her first designs and brand working as a creative director behind the photoshoots and shows.
As a fashion and textile designer Marina uses fairytale and folklore imagery as signature themes in her designs. She creates limited edition prints that are further transformed into fabulous accessories and women's attire like dresses, coats, tops and pants. The brand uses the finest quality materials that are made in the finest plants near Como, Italy. Each item in the collection is mastered with attention to detail and tested under harshest conditions.
Marina Makaron's collections have been part of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week for 5 seasons, Milan International Fashion Week, Philadelphia Fashion Week, Virginia Fashion Week, Atlantic City Fashion Week, among others. The collections have been represented by the leading Italian, NY and Moscow Showrooms and have been sold in hallmark stores like Bloomingdale's and Henri Bendel. Makaron designs have won Best Print Collection of the Year by Fashion TV and received Best Luxury Brand by LIfestyle Awards. The pieces were featured on Japan Vogue cover, were in Spanish Vogue, Elle, Tatler, SNC and many more publications. Marina Makaron was also Margaret Zhang's of (Shine By Three) first interview.
